Our pastor brings a unique blend of life experience and deep biblical grounding to Berea House of Prayer. After a career in law enforcement, he transitioned from ministry in the workforce to serving from the pulpit. He has been happily married to his wife for over 45 years, and together they have built a life rooted in faith, family, and shared ministry.
Our pastor's commitment to sound doctrine and verse-by-verse teaching is backed by years of formal theological education and pastoral leadership:
Theological Training: He attended Bible school at Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho, Missouri and furthered his studies at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.
Ministry History: He previously held ministerial credentials with the Pentecostal Church of God in Arkansas, the Fellowship Network, and has pastored two established congregations, stepping in to lead each following the retirement or passing of long-time pastors.
While we are deeply grateful for the traditional pastoral roles we have held, our family felt a clear, progressive calling from the Lord to step into a new chapter. We desired to plant a pure, independent ministry as a family—one completely free from external organizational history, legacy politics, or institutional stiffness.
Berea House of Prayer is the fulfillment of that vision. It is a place where our family can focus entirely on caring for people, teaching the Scriptures systematically, and leading a family-integrated fellowship built simply on grace and truth.
Berea House of Prayer is entirely family-led and family-sustained. While the pastor and father handles the primary oversight and teaching, the entire family co-labors together to open our home church, maintain the property, and facilitate our weekly services. We believe that our ministry is a shared household calling.
The pastor's son, leads our musical worship on the piano, handles the media aspects of the service, and occasionally steps in to teach. Similarly, the pastor's daughter, vocally leads worship, supports the music on the guitar, and she and the pastor's wife work together to keep the grounds looking beautiful. From preparing the space to ensuring everything is clean and welcoming to making sure that the selected songs are Spirit-led, our family works together so that you feel right at home in God's presence.
